| I babysat for fourteen hours today. well, almost. it was really boring. they have a little sumo wrestling 2 year old though. he's like 40 pounds. and all they do is feed him mcdonalds. it's crazy.
on the other hand, my friend just wrote a letter to Satan on myspace and I think I might go swimming right about now.

| yay. happy fourth of july!
I went to the lake today. it was grand fun. and I got to see the best friend. that was exciting.
but she wasn't supposed to be there, or I wasn't supposed to be with her or something. either that or she got caught on a barbed wire fence. whichever.
and now I'm all fresh and clean and am looking especially fancy, so here's to a night on the town.
oh, and we ate a triple scoop ice cream from bruisters. i'd have to say cake batter ice cream is quite yummy.
and there's this new really annoying song that's taking James Blunt's "Your Beautiful" 's place on the radio. The man has an annoying voice and he says the words "I think you're crazy" a lot. My dad likes the song and it really just makes me want to jump off of a cliff. So now of course, it's stuck in my head. |

So today you leave to venture off to a new place where you have never been, not to mention no one that I even know has ever been there. I googled the Czech Republic and it says that 59% of the population is unaffiliated with the church or any organized religion. Most people would view a fact like this as a challenge, especially to a young person venturing there with the sole mission of spreading the love of Jesus Christ. I see it as an inspriation and a call for you to be courageous. I have so much faith that you [and your group] will be a beacon of hope and light for these people who may not have any point of encouragement. There may be questions or doubts, at times, but remember how strong I KNOW you are, and let your faith carry you through. You have the most beautiful heart and the kindest spirit of any young woman I have ever known, and I have not one single doubt that your talented and spirit-filled heart, lips, and smile will be the tools that you will use to carry out your mission. By the way, the best definition of mission that i have found is: An inner calling to pursue an activity or perform a service. Keep this letter with you and read it just once or read it four hundred times, but my words will not be what carries you. I know He will give you any strength that you need, and any words you cannot find. And He will be what brings you back home safely to a family that can hardly find the words to tell you how proud of you we all are. I love to the moon and back.
